Humankind faces its most significant and important mission; we must endeavor on a global scale to perpetually restore and improve our natural and social environments. In this end, our society needs individuals with knowledge and awareness of environmental issues and leaders with the potential to drive our ability to design and build the technological systems, social systems, and rules to achieve recovery and improvement. This program is aimed at developing global environmental system leaders with the knowledge, awareness, and skills to achieve such perpetual recovery and improvement of the global environment and the initiative to drive the innovation of technological and social systems for the world’s natural and social environments. It is imperative that we realize a new upbringing program to develop environmental leaders able to lead the recovery and improvement of the Earth’s environment now and in the future, leaders who bring a global perspective to environmental issues, and leaders who can bring to fruition both the technological and social systems we need. This program also aims to be the hub for world-class postgraduate education to develop leaders who have what it takes to lead the world. We endeavor to generate momentum to expand this nucleus of postgraduate studies in global environmental systems around the world, establishing a broad-based system of research supervision based on partnerships between International Academia-Industry-NPO Collaborative Advisory Group that incorporates international universities and research institutions from around the world, especially including universities and research institutions in regions with environmental issues. Through these initiatives, we seek to produce graduates who can serve as international leaders in the creation of global environmental systems. It is essential to build environmental-value-generation processes founded on the three pillars—that is, knowledge, awareness, and creativity—needed to achieve that goal, and to share those processes throughout society.
